  • Your New Speedwriting Formula

I wrote my first book in 3 days.  How I did it was pretty simple and there were only 3 major steps (the third is the most important).  I’m adding a 4th for how to use AI to go even faster.

The first thing that I do when I’m working on a big project or idea is to give myself some time. The amount of time is going to vary on you, what you’re good at, and what you want to do with the project itself. For my book, I took a really long time. We’re talking six months plus. Put a little thought in here, a little thought in there and then dramatically large amounts of thought for a couple of days. And then I just said, that’s it. It’s time and I started writing.  Be gentle with this and take as long as you need.  The longer the project (article, report, or book) the longer you should give yourself.

The next part is either you need a large amount of research or already be an expert on the topic. This was something that I already knew inside and out upside down. I did use research and some information as inspiration. Most of the book was in my head, so that made it so I could literally just spit it out.  If you already know the subject, it makes the last part really easy.

I call this a “Staggered Outline”.  First, write down blurbs.  You want either words or phrases that are enough for you to know and understand what they mean:

    Why this works

    How this works

    Etc…

Then, transform each blurb into a full sentence:

My way of doing this works so much better than others because it allows you to take what you know and use it to get an unfair advantage.

By breaking down big ideas into smaller ones, you save a massive amount of time having to figure out what to say next.

    Etc…

Finally, turn each sentence into a paragraph, chapter, or complete idea:

My way of doing this works so much better than others because it allows you to take what you know and use it to get an unfair advantage.  Now that we have access to ChatGPT and other large language model AI systems, we can go even faster.  Here’s how you can write your next article, report, or book at record speed.

So here’s how to add in AI in a smart way to go even faster.  Take your entire outline at each step and tell the AI model what you’re doing.  For step 1:  The following outline is for a _______ (insert type of content) I’m writing.  What would you add if you wanted to help people ________ (purpose of content)?  Here is the outline:  “paste in outline here”.

All you do now is add in the parts you like.

If there is a lot you dislike, correct the AI model with something like this:  “I apologize for not being specific enough.  Please re-run this by focusing on _________ (whatever it left out or ignored).

All that’s left is for you to test this out for yourself and modify it to better suit you and the way you work.

  • What To Do When Nothing Works

What do we do when we’re doing everything perfectly and still failing miserably? This could be your work, your career. Whatever.

Generally, if you’re doing everything right and it’s not working, it means that there’s an external force somewhere that’s causing you issues and forcing you to disconnect from what’s important.

It’s keeping you from those results that you’re working so hard for.

So, the first thing you should do is consider your surroundings. This is generally going to be your home. The people that you live with, whether they’re family or roommates.

These people can cause you problems without you really even realizing it.

So is your house clean? It doesn’t have to be perfect, but if your house is a mess, that makes things more difficult.

An example is if my desk gets gross, I have trouble focusing.

If I pick up my desk and put things where they belong, I’m then able to produce better work.

I recently sat down with my family on a personal topic that was causing me extra stress. I asked them for some help with their parts in the issue and I can see a clear difference between now and before I said something.

Working for yourself can be very difficult because there’s no one to tell you what to do. Generally, you’ve got to make the right calls.

If you’re not making the right ones, it may be that you’re having extra stress because some other stuff is going on around you. Address those things.

In fact, when I’m done with this video, I’ll be telling my wife how wonderful she’s been lately by text message.

How are you eating? Our diets play a huge role in how we perform in day-to-day life. If you are not performing in your day-to-day life, you may want to consider that you’re not eating the right stuff.

As a fitness guy, I’m not going to beat you up about what you eat. I understand that speed is a factor.

The fact that you can drive through McDonald’s and pick up food is a really big deal, but I’m horrified with the idea that I’ve seen McDonald’s from 20 years ago that hasn’t gone bad yet. There’s no mold that scares the hell out of me.

The easiest way for me is to do something called meal prepping. I love Mexican food and I love Asian food. This week I made two pounds of ground chicken with some salsa and Mexican-style seasonings. And I will turn that into nachos. I can toss it into taco shells and eat it that way. I can just eat it with a fork. Throw some guacamole in there for some avocado. This works and gets me eating healthier

I’ll avoid eating some of the garbage food that I might’ve eaten otherwise.

Last, but not least. are you moving at all? Sitting in front of a computer all day is not the best way to build a healthy body and generally, a healthy body creates a healthy mind.

I do CrossFit and you’d probably expect me to try to preach to you that you should too, but it’s not right for everybody.

It’s right for me because I’m a high achiever and I like doing things that are really difficult. You may or may not know that I used to refer to myself as a cripple A couple of years ago, I have severe nerve damage and some internal brokenness, but I do CrossFit. Roughly five times a week.

If you’re not doing anything. All you need to do is take a 20 to 30-minute walk. You don’t need to get your heart rate super high. You don’t need to do anything crazy.

If you’re a little on the heavier side and have some fat, you’d like to get rid of try taking some protein before that, 30 grams or so.

Do that first thing in the morning. So it’s out of your way. You don’t have to think about it. It’s done.

It’ll give you some time to wrap your head around the things you want to accomplish, and then you’ll feel really good going through the rest of your day.

I generally go to my gym at 5:30 in the morning. Get to the gym and it’s all done.

I can feel good about that all day long, which then has me producing better work.

Look at the other parts of your life. If your work isn’t producing what you need,  those external factors can have a drastic impact on how you perform.

  • Turning Back Time on Email Marketing

What if you could turn back time on everything you did in your first year to build your list and make some extra money?

That’s what we asked ChatGPT.  Give us 10 items you’d wish you’d known.

Many of it’s suggestions are the same ones from the last post I wrote for you, so here are the suggestions I found most relevant:

    Quality Over Quantity:

The quality of subscribers often outweighs quantity. Marketers may learn that it’s more beneficial to have a smaller, engaged audience rather than a large, disinterested one. Removing inactive subscribers and focusing on active ones can improve performance metrics.

Author Edit:  When my list was tiny, I’d outperform other affiliates that had 10 times the size of my list.  That’s because mine was entirely made up of customers and I did my best to help them.  It made a massive difference.

    Regulations and Compliance:

Understanding and adhering to email marketing laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the CAN-SPAM Act, is crucial. These govern how you can acquire contacts and send emails, and non-compliance can lead to fines and damaged reputation.

Author Edit:  Glance over the email marketing laws and rules that apply to you.  Some are common sense, but others are pretty crazy.  It’s worth it to spend an hour glancing them over.

    The Power of A/B Testing:

A/B testing different elements of emails (such as subject lines, content, and calls to action) can provide valuable insights into what resonates best with the audience and enhances engagement and conversion.

Author Edit: Most autoresponder services do not allow you to do this.  If that’s the case for you, simply move onto the next one.

    Effective Use of CTAs:

Crafting clear and compelling Calls to Action (CTAs) can substantially boost click-through and conversion rates. Knowing how to strategically place and phrase CTAs is essential for motivating subscribers to take desired actions.

Author Edit:  Calls to action are important, just remember that “reply to this email”, “don’t forget about EVENT”, and “watch for my next email” are as important as “click here”.  Change things up as often as you can to keep readers engaged.

    Data Analysis:

Understanding and effectively utilizing data analytics to track and analyze the performance of email campaigns is key. Paying attention to metrics like open rate, click-through rate, and conversion rate can guide adjustments for future campaigns.

Author Edit:  I just posted to FB that it’s hard to mess things up when data drives your decisions.  It’s absolutely true. The more you let data guide you, the more you’ll win in business.

    Email Deliverability:

Ensuring that emails actually reach the inbox, rather than the spam folder, is crucial. This involves understanding and optimizing factors like sender reputation, email authentication, and content quality to improve email deliverability.

Author Edit:  To keep hitting inboxes, keep complaints as low as you can by being consistent.  You’ll also want to make sure you’re setup to send “business email” via server settings on your web host.

    Personalization and Relevance:

Personalizing email content to the individual recipient as much as possible enhances engagement. Using data to tailor content, offers, and messaging to each subscriber can make emails significantly more effective.

Author Edit:  This is different from what I was talking about in the previous part.  The more you can create personalized experiences, the better people will feel about you and trust you.  If they trust you, they’ll buy from you more often.

The individual items above are copy and pasted directly from ChatGPT while the “Author Edit” notes are from me.

While there are a ton of things you’ll figure out about list building, email marketing, and generating sales, this is a good starting point of things you may not have considered up to now.

  • Get More Sales From Your Emails

    Emails are money. 💵

Inboxes are overflowing and people get distracted easily. So, how do you make an email that transforms a reader into a buyer? Let’s break it down.

    Get to Know Your Avatar:

      • Figure out who you’re talking to. What do they like? What pisses them off? Invade their minds.
      • Don’t talk the way you talk, talk the way THEY talk.
      • Make a fictional character (buyer personas) that represents your favorite customer.  List stuff that may seem small.  Go into extra detail.  Name them.

    Clickworthy Subject Lines:

      • Your emails can’t convert if they don’t get opened.  Your subject has to convince them it’s worth it to read your message.
      • Keep it short but juicy. Use Emojis. Use their name.
      • Keep things interesting by avoiding repeating your subjects from other emails. Don’t expect tricks to work more than once.
      • Try this for huge open rates:  NAME or Hey, NAME.

    Interests and Audience:

      • Separate your email list. If you can, tag anyone who clicks on links of specific topics to break your list into smaller pieces by interest.
      • Make your content fun and entertaining.  If they read it, they’ll stick around.
      • Use images if you send HTML emails.
      • Test everything.  Do what works again. And again.

    CTAs That Make Them Click:

      • CTAs guide your readers on what to do next.
      • Be clear and to the point. Tell them why they should click.
      • Test out different CTAs to see what works best.

    Mobile Magic:

      • More people are checking emails on the go. Make sure your emails look good on mobile.
      • Go for designs that look good on any device.
      • Big fonts, short content, and clear CTAs help a ton on smaller screens.

These are the tips we see as most valuable.  Did we miss anything that matters?  Leave a comment and let’s discuss!

  • Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck Ph.D.

    Book Information:

    • Title: Mindset: The New Psychology of Success
    • Author: Carol S. Dweck
    • Publication Date: 2006
    • Genre: Self-Help, Psychology, Personal Development
    • Number of Pages: 320

    Summary:

In “Mindset”, psychologist Carol S. Dweck explores the concept of “fixed” and “growth” mindsets. A fixed mindset believes abilities are static and cannot change, leading to a desire to appear smart and a fear of challenges. Conversely, a growth mindset believes abilities can be developed, embracing challenges and seeing effort as a pathway to mastery. Dweck presents research showing how these mindsets can shape various aspects of life, including education, relationships, and work.

    Key Takeaways:

    1. The way we perceive our abilities can shape our approach to challenges.
    2. Embracing a growth mindset can foster resilience and a love for learning.
    3. Mindsets can be changed, leading to personal and professional transformation.

    Strengths:

“Mindset” offers a simple yet profound framework that has broad applications in personal and professional settings. Dweck’s research-based approach provides compelling evidence for the concepts presented, making it a key part of becoming our best selves.  The better we are, the better we can perform in work and our personal lives.

    Weaknesses:

While the book’s main concept is powerful, some readers feel that the ideas could be more varied and could be condensed. The dichotomy between the two mindsets can also seem oversimplified in some contexts.

    Relevance to Us:

We face numerous challenges that require resilience, adaptability, and continuous learning. As entrepreneurs, we need to grow to feel like we’re moving in the direction we need to achieve our goals. Adopting a growth mindset can be instrumental in navigating the uncertainties of starting a business and pivoting as needed.

    Quotations:

“In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits.”

“Why waste time proving over and over how great you are when you could be getting better?”

    Recommendation:

“Mindset: The New Psychology of Success” is a must-read for anyone looking to understand the power of beliefs in shaping behavior and outcomes. Its insights benefit educators, parents, leaders, and individuals aiming for personal growth.

  • TrafficForMe Vs. Udimi and Solo Ad Sellers

    Udimi Vs. TrafficForMe

We know you’re always looking for new ways to drive traffic and that’s a good thing.  While we want to be your top choice, we know diversification with traffic strategies is your best plan.

Let’s dig into how most people use solo ads: T4Me and Udimi.

What is Udimi?  Udimi is a solo ad marketplace that profits from sales of traffic inside of its infrastructure.  By providing a review system, they give the appearance of a curated setup.

What is TrafficForMe? We are more like a concierge providing you with protection and service you can’t get elsewhere.  We charge a touch more, vett every traffic-sender, and thus guarantee that any clicks you order from us are actual people who want what you have to offer.

Can Udimi work for you?  Of course, any real email traffic can work. Most people find that out of 10 providers on Udimi, they will find 2 or 3 good ones, 2 or 3 bad ones, and some just so-so results.

So, here’s the formula most likely to work on Udimi:

    1. Depending on your budget, select 5 to 10 sellers that appear to have positive reviews and reasonable prices.
    2. Write a new email message that will be used for all of your orders.
    3. Set up unique tracking links for each of the (5 – 10) orders.
    4. Make sure that you can see how many optins as well as conversions come from each one with the above tracking link
    5. Buy the absolute minimum amount of clicks (usually 50) from each provider
    6. Pay the 5-10 providers, giving them their unique tracking link and the email you wrote in step 2.
    7. Wait till all of the  traffic providers  have delivered.
    8. Keep track of which providers have the best results  (sometimes just 1, sometimes more than 1). Best results should be a combination of opt-in rate, engagement, and sales.
    9. Wait a week or so before placing another order with the seemingly best providers to monitor engagement and refunds to make sure the quality was legitimate. .
    10. Place a larger order with the good quality provider every month or more frequently while continuing to track and watch for when the response drops.
    11. Start over at 1 and do it all again, keeping the good quality providers..

Can TrafficForMe work for you?  Of course, we can.

    1. Select the smallest package that meets your budget in your market (we serve Biz opp, Crypto, Personal Development, Survival, Health and Wellness, and Finance).
    2. Pay just one company (us) for any and all traffic provided (we call them publishers).
    3. For smaller orders, give us one tracking link where you can track conversions, for larger orders you can give 2 or 3 links and we will give them to different publishers.
    4. Monitor and measure.
    5. Reply to our request for how well it went for you.  We want to make sure you get what you expected from your order.
    6. Buy more anytime and repeat the process.

There are some obvious differences in the checklists above.  You may feel like our TrafficForMe list is biased, but that’s not true.  We designed our way to be better in as many ways as we could.

Test Us Out To See The Difference

Most importantly, we’re able to stand behind our traffic because we work closely with each traffic provider, many of them have been with us for 5 or 6 years, and we are constantly monitoring to make sure the traffic quality for any of our publishers remains as high as possible.

We do charge a bit more, but if you average out the good and the bad providers on Udimi, it actually comes out far less expensive in the end.  As with anything on the internet, be careful, even the sellers with with seemingly great reviews might not be selling real traffic.

The Downfall of Solo Ad Sellers?

Greed can take over anyone who sells anything, but skeptical markets are more likely than others.  This is because murky markets are easier to rip off. As our founder has often been quoted, “this industry is where the uneducated meet the unethical, and sometimes it’s the same person.” So, you really do have to be careful or you’ll get ripped off without realizing it.

Something else we’ve witnessed is that solo ad sellers go bad often. Even the good ones. This is why you have to stay on top of your tracking. At T4Me, we do sometimes see this happen even with our most trusted publishers. When this happens, we immediately do what’s needed to make it right with the customer AND we have a 3-strike system with our publishers where they are warned, suspended, and eventually kicked off our service if violations continue.

This can happen by sheer neglect or it can happen because of greed. The temptation to send bot clicks (fake traffic) is always there.  It may start as a tiny percentage, but every fake lead you get is more profitable for the seller.

What begins as temptation becomes the sending of 50% or more fake leads so the seller can offer a “guaranteed” optin rate. (Yes, beware opt-in rates that are TOO HIGH, this is actually a red flag towards bots.)

Due to the nature of any email list/offer/market, it’s nearly impossible to make a promise of any kind of result.  Even if your freebie is perfect for a list, nobody can realistically predict the behavior of people.

People surprise us more often than not…

We’ve seen some awful stuff from solo ad sellers.  Circles of reviewers that give each other the ability to keep on selling bot traffic to unsuspecting customers like you.  Scammers sell clicks, never deliver, disappear, then return as someone else and do it again.  Hundreds of clicks delivered with zero optins (probably bots that didn’t follow directions) and so much more.

The risk is really high if you buy solo ads from a normal solo ad seller.

At TrafficForMe, we cost a little extra because we take that risk and make it minimal.  If there ever is an issue, we make it right.

    TrafficForMe Will Work For You…

This is important:  Your followup matters almost as much as your traffic source.  It’s where you make your money!

Depending on how much you’re buying, you’re going to pay between $ 0.40 and $ 1.00 per click.  You’re generally not going to make that kind of EPC (earnings per click) on your list-building funnel.

Yet, your followup is probably some copy and paste set of emails you got from someone that was lazy.  All it takes to stand out from the crowd is a few smart changes to generic email sequences.

When building your follow-up, do these things:

    1. Enforce consumption – The best thing you can do is provide value to your new prospects.  What happens if they don’t use the stuff you give them?  Nothing.  Make sure they use the free stuff you give away by sending an email or two selling them on benefits it provides them.
    2. Tell stories – When you want to get people to buy stuff, you want them to like you.  Tell them stories about your “coming up”.  Show them that you relate to where they are right now and have the path to take them from where they are to where you are.
    3. Make offers, but do it carefully – You have to sell stuff, but you’re probably doing it wrong (or at least the hard way).  Sell the next step.  Most of the offers you’re going to put in front of your prospects will be affiliate offers.  If that’s the case, convince them to look.  DO NOT TRY TO CONVINCE THEM TO BUY.  Let the sales materials (video or sales letter) do their job.  Provide value first, then pitch.  Roughly 1 in 4 or 5 emails should be to sell something.
    4. Use your autoresponder – Automate this process by building email sequences that are sent to every person who joins your list.  To do this right, you need offers that aren’t going to disappear after a week.  Focus on tools and infrastructure offers if you want to worry less about having to change offers out of your email sequence.  Ninja tip – Use a link tracker that allows you to swap links out easily.  If an offer goes away, swap out your link to send traffic to a new one.

The simple truth is that solo ads are a smart way to build your list and make some sales along the way.  Especially if you want to do it fast.  TrafficForMe is a better place for you to do it because we’re the only way to legitimately cut your risk to a level that’s fair to you as a consumer. We stand behind each and every click that is sent because we only work with publishers we trust.

If your landing page sucks, we’ll tell you.  You won’t find this anywhere else. When you submit your landing page, our sales support team will look at it and make sure they feel it is a proper fit for the traffic you purchased. If you attempt to drive our clicks to a place where it’s unlikely to work out in your favor, we’ll tell you. No solo provider will do that for you.

We actually match up your landing page to lists that have responded well to similar ones before.  No Udimi seller will do that.

Obviously, we think we have a better solution for you.  We’ve been doing this since 2013 – you don’t stay in business unless you’re truly a trusted resource.  If you haven’t tried our way, that’s something we invite you to do right now.

  • How To Sell After Alex Hormozi Gave It All Away.

On 8/19/2023 Alex Hormozi did a live stream where he gave away his big training program.  We’re talking a full training program that could sell for $2,000 – $5,000. It was genius and is going to create a legion of goofballs that think they have to do the same. Don’t be a goofball, because there is a much better way. Over the rest of this post, I’m going to help you unlock the recipe to your future ability to sell. The exact path to selling more of your offer. The formula in a world where the Hormozi’s give it all away and AI is about to be smarter than most of us. Step 1:  Dial in the people you are serving.

Even if you’ve got something that applies to everyone (you don’t), it’s imperative that you talk to specific people.

This makes it very easy to make them see that you have a solution to a present problem.  It gives you an unfair advantage. You can do this over and over again, but first do it right for one specific person.   Step 2:  Give away the solution to a problem. While it was wonderful to see the crying masses when Alex gave away his high end course, I’d be shocked if 1 in 1,000 went through it all.  I’d be shocked if 1 in 10,000 went through it.  Ain’t nobody got time for that! Your solution needs to be brief and to the point.  People will appreciate it with how little available time they have. The easier it is to consume your solution, the better. Step 3:  Sell consumption of your solution. Do everything in your power to make it impossible NOT to consume your solution. A few days after they sign up, send a 2 page PDF cheat sheet.  Next, send an email with all of it broken down in the simplest possible language. Sell the consumption because without it, the next step is way harder. Step 4:  Sell the solution to the problem your solution made. How this looks will vary based upon the problem your freebie solved, but the idea is to sell the next step. Every time we solve a problem, we create new ones. If we sell the solution to the next problem, the odds of getting the sale go way up. If you don’t see what I’m talking about, try stepping one step back from any of your front end offers. It could be a book, it could be a training program.  It could be a journal for first time Moms.  It could be a new business opportunity. Let’s say you teach a hack to get emails delivered to the primary inbox of anyone with a gmail address. What does that person need next? They need emails.  Templates, formulas, and fill-in-the-blank software would be perfect here. Then, they’re going to need the same for their sales systems.  Give copywriting formulas as a back end. Make sense? Let the freebie solution create the need for the stuff they have to pay for.  If you do this right, you’ll sell way more stuff.
